I visited the amazing Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada last week and was continuously overwhelmed by how beautiful everything was. I don't think you could actually walk away from this area with a bad picture.
I only had a few days to explore the park and this shot of Moraine Lake was on the top of my shot list. I watched three sunrises and one sunset at this location hoping for the right weather conditions. The sun doesn't quite rise at the optimal position to get the perfect Alpenglow this time of year, but I was still quite pleased with how this image turned out. I went for a slightly different composition than most of the images I have seen and added a little bit more foreground interest than everyone else.
